Job description

Job Title

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with various individuals firmwide in preparation for lateral partners to join the Firm; prepare lateral partner onboarding materials and compensation memo.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with funding initial capital requirements. Provide monthly reports on status of open capital funding arrangements.
  • Create senior counsel and partner specific documents from a document compiler software, (HotDocs).
  • Process monthly senior counsel payroll to ensure timely and confidential payments to senior counsel throughout the Firm.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly senior counsel payroll reconciliations and monthly senior counsel reports; including senior counsel fact sheets for the Executive Director.
  • Maintain database and tracking schedules for departing partners and senior counsel, including agreement execution dates and payment deadlines.
  • Prepare and distribute various weekly and monthly statistical reports.
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger and payroll transactions for partners and senior counsel.
  • Maintain data and prepare reports from the Firm's financial systems.
  • Maintain schedule for processing special payments to new lateral partners.
  • Prepare capital account analysis for separating partners including calculating estimates for tax and retirement changes; generate reports from the Firm's general ledger system.
  • Process confidential payments to departing and transitioning partners throughout the Firm's global locations.
  • Maintain data in the Partner Dashboard, Partner Life Cycle and the Partner Notes modules within the Partner Accounting system.
  • Cultivate effective communication with colleagues across departments.
  • Develop understanding of all roles in the department and provide support as needed, including using various proprietary and over the counter software.
  • Provide high quality and consistent customer service.
  • Special projects, as required.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of accounting, financial analysis or business experience

NICE TO HAVES

  • Strong experience with reconciliations
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills within background
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional services or law firm experience
