Senior Manager, Employee Relations
San Mateo, CA (hybrid) - requires 2 days in the office

Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic, influential, and forwardthinking Senior Manager to lead our People Experience (PX) function for the AMER region. This role is responsible for driving highquality HR Generalist delivery, shaping Employee Relations strategy, and orchestrating complex organizational change across a dynamic, global matrix environment.

This role directly manages both the AMER HR Generalist (PXC) team and the AMER Employee Relations (ER) team, ensuring cohesive service delivery, operational excellence, and a consistent employee experience across the region. You will guide both teams through annual HR cycles, coach them through change, and elevate their impact through datadriven insights, process improvements, and strong stakeholder partnerships.

While daytoday work is rooted in AMER operations, this role also plays a critical part in aligning complex regional practices with the global PX organization. You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, Studio HR, and global PX leaders to deliver integrated solutions, influence crossregional initiatives, and contribute to the evolution of our global HR operating model.

Success in this role requires exceptional communication, a proactive mindset, strong analytical capability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while balancing strategic thinking with handson execution.

What you'll be doing:

Strategic HR Organizational Change Orchestration

  • Partner with HRBPs, Legal, and senior leaders to assess, map, lead, and implement AMER organizational change.
  • Lead the assessment of timelines, processes, interconnectivity with other HR teams, and creation of change plans. Ensure timely execution with effective communication, stakeholder management, creative problem-solving, and curiosity to improve internal ways of working.
  • Develop and deploy high-quality content for various audiences, including leadership communication, presentations, training material, and management information reports.
  • Support the PX AMER Senior Director with team design, measurement and development and execution of a full and robust roadmap of HR Generalist (PXC) & AMER ER projects.
  • Synthesize business information and build positive relationships with HRBPs and leadership teams to identify insights, make recommendations and decisions as appropriate.
  • Be an active member of the PX Global Leadership Team (PXLT)

Collaboration, Stakeholder Management & Team Management

  • Establish trust and influence senior stakeholders while navigating uncertainty. Ability to 'cut through the noise' and identify high vs low impact activity, risk, and advise the business and wider People team with data and best practice
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, Studio HR and other global stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor the HR Generalist (PXC) team and Employee Relations (ER) team to provide high-quality support and cultivate an agile, collaborative, and dedicated culture.
  • Build strong connections with diverse stakeholders across various time zones with diverse project demands.

Employee Relations

  • Collaborate with Legal on ER matters and employment law.
  • Manage complex ER matters with potential reputational/legal risk in conjunction with Legal and the ER specialists. Oversee all AMER ER cases and drive operational efficiency in processes
  • Drive system adoption and cohesive usage to establish consistent metrics and measurement of ER issues in region. Partner with HRBP's to present and analyse data to shift from reactive to proactive Employee Relations.
  • Partner with the global PX team to align on system use, processes and ER cadence.
  • Deliver complex OD actions with HR Generalist and ER teams.

What we're looking for:

  • A proven senior HR manager with extensive ER and HRBP experience in a matrixed, complex, global environment.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience of leading teams at HR Generalist (PXC) and ER specialist level.
  • Track record of influencing senior collaborators and delivering strategic HR initiatives.
  • Process mapping, evaluation and system thinking mindset.
  • High levels of data literacy and insight development.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and act operationally with a proactive, forward-looking perspective
  • Excellent communication skills with data driven impact analysis
  • Substantial cultural Change Management and HR project experience
