Meet the Partnerships Team:

Ownwell's partnerships team is a lean, high-performing group that drives an increasing proportion of Ownwell's growth. We recruit, activate, and manage relationships across the real estate and financial services ecosystemโ€”from mortgage servicers and proptech platforms to regional brokerages and property management companies. We're builders who thrive on closing deals, launching creative partnerships, and seeing our partnerships translate into real revenue and customer growth.

The Role:

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Partnerships team and drive growth by recruiting, closing, and activating new channel partnerships across the real estate ecosystem. This role will be responsible for building pipeline, negotiating deals, and ensuring new partners launch successfully. You'll own the full cycle from prospecting through activation and enablement. You'll work closely with the Head of Partnerships to execute on our partnership strategy, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure seamless partner onboarding and campaign launches that drive measurable revenue impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities through outbound campaigns, conferences, referrals, and industry research.
  • Lead end-to-end deal cycles, including recruitment, discovery, negotiation, contract execution, and onboarding.
  • Own partner activation by working with new partners to launch co-marketing campaigns, enablement programs, and referral initiatives that drive customer acquisition for Ownwell.
  • Develop partner-facing materials, including training decks, marketing assets, and sales collateral, to ensure partners can effectively promote Ownwell to their audiences.
  • Monitor partner performance and proactively engage to optimize referral volume and conversion rates.
  • Identify and execute on reactivation opportunities with dormant partners to bring them back to productivity.
  • Represent Ownwell at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and source new partnerships.
  • Drive partner-sourced customer acquisition and revenue growth through new partnerships, partner activations, and reactivations.
Competencies:
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or account management, ideally in B2B2C or channel partnership models.
  • Proven track record of prospecting, closing deals, and driving revenue through partnerships or sales channels.
  • Experience in real estate, proptech, fintech, or property management is a strong plus but not required.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust with partners at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial and scrappy with a comfort in ambiguity, taking ownership of outcomes, and figuring out how to get things done in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • You love prospecting, building a pipeline, and closing deals. The chase energizes you, and you thrive when you have aggressive targets to hit.
  • You move quickly from strategy to action. You don't wait for perfectโ€”you launch, learn, and iterate.
  • You understand that partnership success requires enablement, not just contracts. You're invested in helping partners win, so Ownwell and our customers win.
  • You collaborate effectively across functions and understand that partnership success requires strong internal alignment.

Ownwell offerings

  • Entrepreneurial culture. Own your career; we are here to support you in the journey.
  • Access to First Round Network to build your community outside of Ownwell.
  • Flexible PTO. We believe in giving you the flexibility to own your time off. In addition to flexible time off, you will get 11 company holidays. We offer the last week of the year to recharge and reset.
  • Competitive health benefits. We care for you and your family's health, as reflected in our benefits coverage.
  • Learning support through a $1,000 stipend per year to enable investing in your individual learning needs.
  • Supporting parental journey. We offer up to 16 weeks of fully paid parental and bonding leave to support your journey as a new parent.
  • As applicable complimentary real estate and tax consulting licensing and renewal

Ownwell's vision is to democratize access to real estate expertise. When we say we want to provide access, we mean providing access to everyone. To do that well, we need a team that's broadly representative. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. Ownwell is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or family status, disability, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status.
