Position Overview
This position will work to advise and counsel law students on career planning through individualized training, guidance, and feedback. They will also assist students in developing skills necessary to obtain jobs and help students develop professional networks to advance career opportunities. Additionally, they will provide administrative assistance in managing programs of the Career Development Office, as well as job postings.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Three years of relevant advising or counseling experience (academic advising, career counseling, attorney-client counseling, or therapeutic/ social work counseling); a Juris Doctor may substitute two of the three years of experience

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Other
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work non-standard business hours

Additional Preferred
  • Ability to consistently exercise discretion and sound judgment, particularly when dealing with confidential matters
  • Knowledge of issues related to higher education administration
  • Knowledge of career development issues, particularly those faced by attorneys and aspiring attorneys
  • Knowledge of legal employment trends and career development
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Experience in career counseling or legal recruitment
