Job description

Position Summary

The Part-Time IT Systems & AI Support Specialist manages company system configurations, end-user technical workflows, and software administration. This role focuses on optimizing our Kipu EMR platform and Dazos CRM environment while actively leading AI research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will explore, test, and implement AI utilities to streamline internal operations and improve automated data workflows.

Role Details

  • Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
  • Location: Remote to start, with the potential to transition into a hybrid framework. Candidates must reside in the Boise, ID metropolitan area.
  • Compensation: $26.00 – $32.00 per hour (Based on experience)
  • Benefits: PTO and 401(k)

Core Responsibilities

1. EMR & CRM Subject Matter Expertise (50%)

  • Serve as the principal in-house administrator for Kipu EMR and Dazos CRM.
  • Build, audit, and optimize customized clinical forms, workflows, and user permission matrices in Kipu.
  • Clean database duplicates, track pipeline analytics, and build marketing/operational dashboards within Dazos.
  • Train incoming staff members to ensure data accuracy and system efficiency across both platforms.

2. AI Research & Development (25%)

  • Research emerging generative AI tools, LLM features, and automated software integrations to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and deploy custom prompts, automated macros, or API scripts linking our CRM/EMR stacks with AI productivity engines.
  • Audit internal processes to identify bottlenecks that can be solved using machine learning or AI automation.

3. Remote User & Hardware Lifecycle IT Support (25%)

  • Oversee tech provisioning for new hires, including secure software configurations, password management, and system access.
  • Handle offboarding revocation, remote data purging, and coordinate returning corporate hardware.
  • Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 remote desktop and application troubleshooting for organization staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of database administration, healthcare IT helpdesk, or specialized systems engineering experience.
  • Strict understanding of healthcare compliance data standards, including HIPAA data security rules.
  • Proven curiosity or practical experience with AI tools (e.g., OpenAI API, Claude, custom GPTs, automation via Zapier/Make).
  • Must live in the Boise, ID area and possess a reliable, high-speed home internet connection.
