In this access control role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Document visitor activity, deliveries, and security-related events through logs, reports, and access control systems in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, paying attention to entry points, loading areas, and other sensitive sections of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
