POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and HRIS Administrator to oversee the Greater Cleveland YMCA Association-wide payroll operations and HRIS (Dayforce) management. This role is essential to ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining the integrity of employee data, and aligning HRIS capabilities with organizational goals. The administrator will provide analytical, technical, and customer service support across the organization, ensuring compliance, data integrity, efficient operations, and enhanced employee experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Payroll Administration
  • Manage and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing through Dayforce for all employees.
  • Monitor payroll systems and processes for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage and improve payroll workflows and ensure compliance with record-keeping and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

HRIS Management
  • Promote proactive use of the HRIS (Dayforce) to address business needs, solve problems, and optimize workflows.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data, conducting regular audits and updates.
  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze HRIS data to inform policy decisions, strategy formulation, and process optimization.
  • Lead or collaborate on HRIS initiatives and integrations, including system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Drive value through training programs, process documentation, reference tools and enhancements to reporting capabilities.
  • Recommend improvements to payroll and HRIS structures.

Customer Service and Interpersonal Excellence
  • Provide excellent customer service, resolving employee inquiries related to payroll and HRIS with professionalism and empathy.
  • Build strong relationships across HR and with other business stakeholders to support organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and HRIS management (preferably with Dayforce experience).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll related laws, HRIS best practices, and reporting standards.
  • Expertise in reporting, data analysis, and leveraging HRIS for business improvements.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Experience with Dayforce (HRIS/HRM) strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Payroll (CPP) or HR (PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
  • Experience in training and developing end-users on HRIS platforms (i.e. Dayforce, ADP, UKG).
