Position Summary
The Part-Time Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions for The Grove Rehab Facility. This position partners with facility leadership to recruit, retain, and support a high-performing workforce while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as healthcare industry regulations. The HR Manager serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, fostering a positive workplace culture focused on quality resident care, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of employee recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and ensure completion of required employment documentation.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
- Process employee status changes and coordinate with payroll.
- Advise supervisors on employee relations, performance management, coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
- Assist department managers with performance evaluations and employee development.
- Coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and return-to-work processes.
- Monitor employee licensure, certifications, and required training to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support survey readiness by maintaining HR documentation required by state and federal agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive organizational matters.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics for facility leadership.
- Participate in leadership meetings and provide guidance on workforce planning and staffing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive human resources experience.
- Previous HR experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care strongly preferred.
- Experience with employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and benefits administration.
