We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to assist with the preparation of the indirect and direct domestic and international returns. The role includes assisting with federal and state corporate income tax returns, preparing and paying quarterly estimated tax payments, assisting with sales and use tax returns, VAT, GST and ESL returns. The position will also contribute to special projects as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, is attentive to detail, is deadline driven, has great communication skills, and can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Requirements
Essential Functions
  • Assist with sales and use tax returns, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliation, and compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Assist with the income tax provision and tax return workpapers Prepare and file withholding tax returns, including Form 1042 and related schedules.
  • Assist with annual tangible property, franchise, and gross receipts tax filings.
  • Assist with international tax filings and reporting in coordination with global teams and external advisors.
  • Communicate effectively with internal accounting teams and external consultants or tax advisors.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide support for statutory, state, and indirect tax audits as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Support the implementation of new tax policies, strategies, and procedures, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as appropriate.
  • Conduct research and provide analytical support for special projects.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Required eligible or completed four-year degree in accounting or finance
  • GPA 3.5 or higher
  • Tax experience with multiple indirect and direct filings
  • At least five years of relevant tax experience

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn new concepts and responsibilities.
  • Willing and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
  • Clear and professional communicator; able to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or higher)
