Position Summary
We are seeking a part-time Contract Administrator to join our growing team. The Contract Administrator is responsible for managing, preparing, reviewing, and analyzing contracts and procurement agreements for an organization. This role requires a solid understanding of legal terminology, negotiation skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Contract Administrators work closely with various departments to facilitate clear and enforceable contracts, mitigate risks, and support the organization's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, revise, and maintain a variety of contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Track contract milestones (renewals, expirations, deliverables, payments).
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Identify potential risks or deviations and escalate concerns appropriately.

Qualifications and Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field (required or preferred depending on role).
  • 2-5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, procurement, or a similar administrative/compliance role.
  • Experience working with legal teams, project managers, vendors, or government agencies (depending on sector).
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, legal language, and risk management principles.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and risks.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret contract requirements, and prepare reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting, reviewing, and explaining contract terms.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Operations).
  • Negotiation skills for resolving contract issues or coordinating amendments.
  • Professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
