About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional part-time Administrative Assistant to help manage the operations of our Gaithersburg, MD location at Kentlands School of Music. We are looking for a staff member who will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations.

The desired time commitment is 20-25 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability, with priority given to those who are available on Saturdays.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Greeting families and students arriving for lessons
  • Responding to new lesson inquiries by phone and email
  • Processing enrollments, sales skills relevant
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy front-desk environment
  • Interfacing with teachers to help them manage their student schedules
  • Demonstrating basic computer proficiency to support scheduling, communication, and general administrative tasks

Successful candidates will be organized, adaptable, and proactive self-starters with excellent communication skills and the ability to pass a routine background check. A demonstrated interest in music, education, and customer service will be considered a strong asset.

Pay for this position will start at $15.50/hour, with regular reviews and opportunities for compensation growth. Health benefits options and a 401K with employer match are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble after 30 days of employment.
