Job description

Distinctive Rental Properties is seeking an experienced Painter to assist with painting and turnover work at residential rental properties throughout the Lafayette area.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience painting residential interiors and exteriors, be dependable, and take pride in producing high-quality work with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming
  • Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and other surfaces
  • Perform touch-up painting between tenant turnovers
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Properly use and care for painting tools and equipment
  • Identify and report maintenance issues observed during work
  • Complete assignments efficiently while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

  • Previous professional painting experience required
  • Experience with residential properties preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders
