SUMMARY:

  • Hourly Paraprofessional pay rates:
    • $18 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to specialized classroom: Autistic, Emotional, Life Skills Support (effective 10/13/25)
    • $16 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to Learning Support, 1:1, Intervention
  • The Paraprofessional position will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 6.5 paid hours per day on full school days (scheduled 7 hours/day with a 1/2 hr unpaid lunch break).
  • Paraprofessionals will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support.
  • PTO: Employees assigned to work 30 hours or more hours per day for a full 5-day work week are eligible for 8 PTO days (prorated based on hire date).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans.
  • Reinforcing learning concepts and skills.
  • Working with students individually or in small groups.
  • Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress.
  • Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Supervising students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas.
  • Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal.

Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma and completion of Paraprofessional competency training OR
    • Two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits), Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
