Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one or small-group instructional support to students under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
Help manage classroom behavior and foster a safe, positive, and focused learning environment.
Support students during transitions between classes, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal.
Document student progress and communicate consistently with the special education team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required (Associateโs degree or higher preferred).
Massachusetts Paraprofessional certification or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment is highly desirable.
Experience working with children or young adults in an educational, childcare, or therapeutic setting is preferred.
Strong communication, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Must satisfy all local and state school background check requirements.
