Job description

Paraprofessional to work with special needs children in the Metuchen School District.
Starting paraprofessionals will be paid $21.32/hour, 10-month position, for the 25-26 school year.
Paraprofessionals will be offered health insurance under the following terms: 
1-Employees in their first 6 months shall have the option to purchase single, parent/child, member/spouse or family medical and prescription coverage and dental. The employee shall pay 100% of such coverage.
2-Employees after completing 6 months of service in the district shall have the option to select single, parent/child, member/spouse, or family medical and prescription coverage, as well as dental coverage. The employee shall pay 50% of the cost for single coverage and 100% of the cost for parent/child, member/spouse, or family coverage. The Board shall pay the remaining 50% for single coverage.
3-Employees in their third year of service or above in the district shall have the option to select single, parent/child, member/spouse, or family medical, dental and prescription coverage. The employee shall pay the year 4 c.78 contribution towards the cost for single coverage and 100% of the cost for dependent coverage. The Board shall pay the remaining cost for single coverage.
The para position also includes tuition reimbursement, paid sick, family illness, emergency and personal days.
