Effective communication and collaboration with IT, clinical staff, and vendors are essential to quickly resolve problems and optimize workflow for patient care.

What is PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)?

PACS, or Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, are medical imaging technology solutions used to securely store, retrieve, manage, distribute, and present medical images electronically. They replace traditional film-based methods of managing diagnostic images like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. PACS enables healthcare professionals to access and share images quickly and efficiently, improving patient care and collaboration among medical teams. These systems are commonly integrated with hospital information systems and radiology information systems for seamless workflow.
