Job description

SUMMARY

We are seeking a driven Packaging Sales Representative to lead growth across the Houston, TX market. This is a high-impact, expansion-focused role targeting one of the strongest industrial and manufacturing corridors in the country. You will have the autonomy to build a book of business while delivering custom corrugated and packaging solutions to a diverse client base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and grow a Houston-based territory through aggressive prospecting and relationship development across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution clients
  • Sell custom corrugated boxes and packaging solutions tailored to customer specifications, operations, and cost objectives
  • Drive new business while expanding existing accounts within the Greater Houston and surrounding Gulf Coast region
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, needs assessment, quoting, closing, and account management
  • Partner closely with internal production and design teams to deliver custom, cost-effective packaging solutions
  • Conduct in-person client visits throughout Houston and surrounding areas to strengthen relationships and close business
  • Prepare RFQs/RFPs, pricing strategies, and product recommendations aligned with customer needs
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately forecast sales activity using CRM tools
  • Stay connected to local market trends, key industries (energy, food & beverage, industrial manufacturing), and competitive landscape

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of packaging sales experience (corrugated highly preferred)
  • Proven success selling into the Houston market and developing new business
  • Strong understanding of custom packaging solutions vs. commodity sales
  • Established network within Houston manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors is a major plus
  • Ability to manage a territory independently with a hunter-driven mindset
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
