Position Title: Packaging Sales Representative
About the Role: This role offers an opportunity for a results-driven sales professional to make a significant impact within a dynamic organization. The Packaging Sales Representative will be responsible for outside B2B sales of packaging supplies and refurbished hangers, primarily within California, with potential expansion into New Jersey. This position demands a proactive approach to prospecting and generating leads while managing existing accounts to drive growth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging their sales acumen to meet and exceed personal sales targets. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE
Packaging Sales Representative Responsibilities:
  • Engage in lead generation activities to identify new B2B sales accounts and expand the sales pipeline
  • Initiate customer relationships and close product sales to both new and existing accounts
  • Manage and communicate with existing accounts to achieve customer satisfaction and increase loyalty
  • Grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and up-selling of products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to process sales orders and manage product delivery
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the company's products and services
  • Identify new product or market opportunities to increase sales
  • Partner with the Accounts Receivable department to ensure timely payments
  • Pursue cost reduction and margin improvement activities for customer accounts

Packaging Sales Representative Requirements:
  • Aggressive, high-activity hunter with a strong phone presence and in-person selling skills
  • Experience with or understanding of warehouses, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, or packaging
  • Willingness to prospect and self-generate leads; manage local travel using personal vehicle and phone
  • Ability to ramp up and become profitable within 2-3 months
  • Team fit: humble, positive, and collaborative with customer service and purchasing teams
  • Existing book of business in packaging or related fields is preferred
  • Prior sales experience with corrugated boxes and packaging consumables is preferred
  • Experience selling to warehouse managers and supply chain professionals is preferred
  • Familiarity with credit terms and basic ERP order entry is preferred
