Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Specialist), Overnight | $24-$28/hr + $5/hr shift differential | Full-Time Benefits | Woburn, MA
Compensation
  • $24-$28/hour, based on experience and skillset
  • $5/hour shift differential for hours worked between 11:00 PM-7:00 AM

  • Full-time:
    • Tuesday-Friday | 9:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Part-time:
    • Thursday | 8:00 PM-6:00 AM
    • Saturday | 9:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends required

Responsibilities
As an Overnight Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for clients and patients arriving through our emergency and specialty departments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays calm under pressure, and is passionate about creating a positive client experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare for appointments by reviewing medical records, retrieving client files, and organizing required forms
  • Complete and review documentation accurately to meet hospital and legal standards
  • Enter client and patient information into the hospital system with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Admit and discharge patients while coordinating follow-up visits
  • Collect payments and guide clients through payment options, including financing solutions
  • Process pet insurance claims from start to finish
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming front desk, lobby, restrooms, and bereavement spaces
  • Support clients through urgent and emotional situations with empathy, professionalism, and clear communication
  • Partner closely with our emergency and specialty teams to ensure a seamless client and patient experience
Qualifications
  • Previous client service, veterinary reception, or healthcare/front desk experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to create a positive first impression
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Comfortable handling sensitive conversations with compassion and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with strong administrative and computer skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and adapt to changing priorities
  • Veterinary or emergency hospital experience is a plus
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
