Job Overview:
As a floating on-call Receptionist, you will help the high-rise property operations run smoothly by greeting visitors, answering phone calls and performing general administrative tasks.
The schedule falls between 3 PM - 8 AM for evening and overnight shifts.
Compensation: $20 - 21 per hour
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Cover various shifts as needed
  • Greet all guests with a warm smile and inviting attitude
  • Receive and respond to resident phone calls; redirect as appropriate
  • Meet with inquiring homeowners in lobby as may be appropriate
  • Facilitate amenity access including acceptance/transmittal of fees and distribution of access cards and other equipment to homeowners as required by community needs
  • Update new/existing owners' information forms in the appropriate system daily or as required
  • Sort incoming mail, faxes, and courier deliveries for distribution
  • Enter and process work orders for maintenance requests from homeowners as needed
  • Assist in follow-up on the status of work orders to ensure timely resolution and closure upon notification by vendor or community manager
  • Perform other Community Coordinator duties as assigned by Amenities Center Manager or Community Manager

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Friendly, outgoing and personable
  • Able to identify issues and resolve before problems arise

  • Superb judgment and decision-making skills
  • Able to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Tremendous listener with the ability to diffuse tense situations

Education and Experience:
  • Customer service experience required
  • HOA and/ or property management experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Work in a typical office environment, using a computer
  • Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods of time
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds

Work Location: Various locations throughout Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix
Work Hours: On-call and hours will range week to week. Shifts vary from 3 PM - 8 AM for evenings and overnights.
