Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time and/or part-time position for Commercial Kitchen Fryer and Equipment Cleaner / General Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will support worksite operations through general labor, cleaning deep fryers and kitchen equipment, and other janitorial activities. Our technicians run a consistent route daily servicing commercial kitchens. We provide filtration services of deep fryer cooking oil and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment. This may include using our equipment to clean kitchen equipment, operating power tools, keeping the worksite clean, operating our vehicles in safe manner to get to job site locations, or other necessary tasks. This role requires a dependable, independent hard-working individual with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Since 1996, the Filta Group has been providing unparalleled service to commercial food establishments (i.e., restaurants, corporate kitchens, stadiums, convention centers, hospitals, hotels, Universities, or anywhere a commercial kitchen exists.)
Pay starting at $21.00 per hour. Overnight shift (6:30 pm - 3:00am) with 30-40 hours expected per week
We provide the required training for using our equipment and cleaning kitchen equipment in order to perform the services necessary for the job.
Cleaning Service Technician Responsibilities:
  • Show up on time to work appointments
  • Routine cleaning of restaurant and large facility fryers and kitchen equipment
  • Regular care and maintenance of cleaning equipment
  • Driving our vehicles in a safe manner to service customers, maintain regular cleanliness and perform safety checks on vehicle
  • Keep inventory of supplies and materials on company van / truck
  • Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
  • Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor
  • Communicating with clients and supervisor on cleaning visits

Cleaning Service Technician Qualifications:
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 lbs, and standing for long periods
  • Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently at a high level
  • Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) a definite plus, but not a must
  • At least 1 year of commercial cleaning or kitchen experience
  • Live (or are planning to relocate soon) to the San Jose, CA area
