Job description

Outpatient Medical Coding Auditor (Part-Time, Remote)


Sierra7 is seeking an experienced Outpatient Medical Coding Auditor to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Auditor will review and audit medical records for coding accuracy and compliance using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, provide feedback and education, and ensure adherence to VA and industry coding guidelines.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in a healthcare-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of coding/auditing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of VA coding experience (as a VA employee or contractor supporting the VA).
  • Experience with VIRR/WebVIRR preferred.
  • Current AHIMA, AAPC, or ACDIS certification required.


Schedule:

  • Remote, Part-Time
  • Minimum 20 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule, Mondayโ€“Sunday


Requirement: Candidates must have at least two years of VA or VA-contracted coding experience to be considered.
