The Memorial Order Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and completing memorial orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance with specifications, and timely execution. This administrative role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to support internal teams and deliver exceptional customer service to our customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and reviews memorial orders from locations
  • Monitors and manages incoming emails pertaining to memorialization
  • Performs daily ordering, verifies order confirmations, and upholds continuous logs etc.
  • Ensures that memorials with pending pre-need final disposition are designed correctly
  • Verifies accuracy, pricing and specifications of memorial orders against the finalized memorial design before submitting for manufacturing
  • May speak with families to complete memorial designs when sales counselors are unable to do so at the time of sale. Establishes a follow-up system to track and finalize incomplete orders in a timely manner
  • Participates in and facilitates training and skill development opportunities to improve competency and customer service
  • Answers questions and solves problems promptly and as needed by all locations
  • Understands and upholds garden specifications for all cemeteries
  • Reviews posted charges against the memorial order to ensure accurate figures
  • Adheres to company and market policies, procedures, rules, and controls
  • Adheres to safety rules and regulations, and reports unsafe practices to management
  • Acts promptly on customer service issues to provide satisfactory resolution
  • Receives and reviews bronze and granite memorials and checks for accuracy and damage
  • Performs special assignments and/or projects as requested by direct supervisor and/or market leadership

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High School or equivalent required

Experience

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in an office clerical or customer service capacity required
  • Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to multi-task, set priorities, stay organized and uphold excellent time management
  • Think critically about work processes, troubleshoot situations, and take remedial action
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • MS Office experience with web-based navigation
  • Basic mathematics skills required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • High level of compassion and integrity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

WORK CONDITIONS

Work Environment
  • Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
  • Limited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required
  • Professional Dress is required when in contact with families.
Work Postures
  • Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
  • Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
  • Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently
