REEDS Jewelers is thrilled to announce we're hiring an Special Orders Associate to join our corporate office in Wilmington, NC.
When a customer is inspired to tell their story and commemorate an important life experience, it can become a "special order," or a piece of jewelry customized to perfection.
The Special Order Associate works directly with our customers and vendors to facilitate custom jewelry orders. We are looking for an exceptional self-initiator who is passionate about jewelry, possesses genuine empathy, is resourceful, and can proudly represent our brand. In this position, you must be able to assume various roles based on the business needs, remain flexible, and stay positive. This requires connecting one on one and building relationships with our REEDS customers, while facilitating the sale of custom fine jewelry.
This entry level position is your foot in the door of a proud and well established Wilmington family business and exposes you to the nuts and bolts of successful operations. REEDS offers excellent training on the industry, designers, and helps you develop the skills to set you up for long term success.
REEDS Jewelers celebrates its 80th Anniversary in 2026! We're family owned and operated with the highest standards of quality merchandise, superior customer service, and industry ethics. This position follows our corporate office schedule policy which is Hybrid with ability to work from home and also come into the office as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized, high-level service and guidance to the REEDS clientele, delivering exceptional luxury experiences that exceed expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge, being up to date on new products, trends, and stock availability
  • Respond to all custom order inquiries promptly and professionally, providing quotes and updates
  • Correspond with customers and conduct consultations via email, chat, phone, and video calls.
  • Process orders and build product in our order management system
  • Continuously monitor the status of special orders to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely processing and delivery
  • Work interdepartmentally to resolve any issues regarding a special order and ensure that the order is moving through the proper channels

Qualifications
  • Customer facing sales experience, required
  • BA degree or equivalent, preferred
