Job description

Job Title: Oracle HCM Cloud Security Architect
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of Oracle HCM Cloud security architecture across modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning, Benefits, Absence Management, and Time & Labor.
  • Perform requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, security configurations, and end-to-end testing.
  • Configure and maintain custom job/data roles, security profiles (including SQL-based), auto provisioning rules, HCM Design Studio personalization, and page-level security using EL expressions.
  • Provide technical and functional support for P2T activities, HDL user management, BI/OTBI security, security audit reports, and production security cutovers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, Payroll, and Compliance to ensure secure, scalable, and audit-compliant HCM Cloud deployments.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, training materials, and support handover guides for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead troubleshooting of security and payroll escalations and support quarterly release management activities.
  • Maintain and enhance data privacy and SOX compliance via regular audits and security best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentor for Oracle HCM Cloud Security topics across project teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in HCM Cloud implementations, with at least 5 years in a security-focused role.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Security Console, role and profile configuration, and HCM Design Studio.
  • Strong working knowledge of HDL/HSDL, BI Publisher/OTBI, Alerts Composer, and integration with tools such as ADP, HireRight, and LinkedIn.
  • Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end HCM cloud security architecture and migrations across multiple pods.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex payroll and security issues, including post-go-live production support.
  • Experience working with clients across industries including healthcare, energy, federal, and global corporations.
  • Strong communication skills and experience coordinating with both onshore and offshore teams.
  • Oracle HCM Cloud certification preferred.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with global rollouts and localization (Netherlands, India, etc.)
  • Background in PeopleSoft HCM and prior involvement in large-scale HR system consolidation projects
  • Experience creating training materials and presenting at industry conferences like Oracle OpenWorld or Collaborate.
