Job description

Role: Operations Support Analyst
Location: Livingston Plaza, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description: This position will require the consultant to work 5 days onsite (overnight and weekend)
Required Skills:
  • Innovee Public Sector client IT seeks qualified candidates to assist with the monitoring of critical systems, both hardware and software, from various systems throughout our agencies. This will include facility temperature alerts, CPU, memory, and space utilization on servers, APC Netbotz devices, Oracle databases and hardware. Familiarity tools from Putty to Solar Winds is a plus.
  • As part of a 24x 7 team, the ideal candidate will come with experience in operations. They will be responsible for opening tickets as needed and assisting Sys Admins with resolution. They will run pre-written scripted jobs in multiple environments including Windows, Linux and AS/400
    Strong knowledge of basic MS Office tools is required. The ability to clearly communicate via phone and email is essential.
  • Initial training of 4-6 weeks will take place Monday -Friday from 8am to 4pm after which the candidate will be moved to the 3rd shift, from 11pm to 7am. Thursday (into Friday) and Friday (into Saturday) will be the off days. This is an on-site, in-person job. The primary work location will be in downtown Brooklyn.
  • MTA IT seeks qualified candidates to assist with the configuration and optimization of alarms and alerts that come from various systems throughout our agencies. The goal to eliminate the "white noise" of nuisance alarms and assure that needed alerts are send to the correct parties.
  • t Temperature alerts, HP servers, APC Netbotz devices will be the core mission. Familiarity with Building Management Systems is a plus. Familiarity with Solar Winds is also a plus. Candidates with experience in the selection, install and upgrade of field hardware are encouraged to apply.
  • As part of a 24x 7 team, the ideal candidate will come with experience in operations and be able to assist our team in the development of new tools to monitor the health of critical systems including SQL and Oracle databases, and hardware operations on a broad range of platforms.
  • This is an in-person job. Work locations will vary, with the job based in downtown Brooklyn. Travel to any location within the MTA network and working at field locations for extended periods may be required. Candidate will be working with IT facility managers across the region.
Strong knowledge of basic MS Office tools is required. Work shifts will be overnights from 11pm to 7am and will include weekends
