The People and Culture (P&C) Operations Associate provides entry-level operational support to employees, managers, and the P&C team. This role executes routine HR transactions in Workday, responds to basic policy and process inquiries, supports onboarding logistics, maintains data accuracy, and assists with standard administrative tasks. The position works under close supervision, following established procedures and escalating non-routine or complex items to senior team members.

Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Processes routine Workday transactions (e.g., hires, job changes, terminations) in accordance with documented procedures and approval workflows
  • Provides the first line of support for basic Workday navigation and "how-to" questions; routes advanced queries appropriately
  • Performs data entry, audits, and corrections to ensure data integrity; runs standard and basic ad-hoc reports as directed
  • Maintains employee files and records in compliance with policy
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for P&C inquiries via shared inbox or ticketing; provides answers using approved FAQs, policies, and knowledge articles; escalates when beyond scope
  • Supports onboarding activities and facilitates New Hire Orientation, including coordinating Day 1 readiness, scheduling sessions, preparing materials, and completing checklists
  • Supports offboarding activities, including generating standard letters and checklists, scheduling exit interviews, and documenting feedback for Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs)
  • Updates HR intranet content, keeping information current and accessible
  • Coordinates training logistics (room bookings, invites, rosters, materials); liaises with vendors as directed
  • Creates purchase requisitions and assists with invoice reconciliation in SAP, following guidance
  • Coordinates with Global Mobility on basic documentation and tracking (e.g., collecting required forms); escalates compliance or visa-specific questions
  • Maintains trackers, templates, and shared folders; ensures version control and confidentiality
  • Meets defined service levels and quality standards; documents recurring issues and suggests improvements to job aids or FAQs
  • Participates in simple process improvement tasks under guidance; adopts new procedures and tools as they are introduced
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

Knowledge and Skills
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and foundational employment concepts; ability to know when to escalate
  • Customer-service mindset; effective written and verbal communication
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and follow standard operating procedures

Basic Requirement / Certifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 4 years of applicable industry experience OR
  • Associate's degree with 2 years of applicable industry experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of applicable industry experience
  • Basic understanding of GMP, GLP, GDP requirements

Preferred Requirement / Certifications
  • Experience working with an HRIS, preferably Workday
  • Human resources certification (SHRM, PHR)
