Medical Office Receptionist

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient front office operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and experience scheduling patient appointments in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect necessary documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and providing receipts.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate scheduling.
  • Handle patient reminders, cancellations, and follow-up appointments.

Qualifications
