Responsibilities

SUMMARY:


This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Answers telephones and transfers calls to the proper person or department, and takes messages as needed or transfers the caller into voice mail.

•Separates incoming mail by departments.

•Greets customers and visitors and directs them to the proper person.

•Handles UPS and Federal Express deliveries and arranges for express messenger services.

•Maintains records for temporary employees and administers safety video for new temporary associates.

•Reviews daily production forms for accuracy, and enters all data into Excel spreadsheets. Distributes via email daily.

•Assists production supervisor with potato purchase orders weekly and faxes to vendors.

•Enters all data for potato grading into excel and SAP. Faxes worksheets to vendors for informational purposes.

•Maintains tracking and records for visitor and contractor agreements.

•Tracks licenses and permits for record keeping purposes.

•Records minutes for staff meetings, safety meetings.

•Assists various departments with special projects as needed.

•Participate in safety element (SRMP) for the purpose of loss control.

•Performs other light clerical duties such as light typing, employee attachments to payroll checks, mailings, updating employee lists and other tasks as assigned.

•Accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.

•Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.

•Keep front lobby area neat and clean; straighten magazines, and water plants.

• Ability to read, writes, speak and understand English well.

• Minimum 1+ years experience as a receptionist.

• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in answering and handling busy phone lines, knowledge of Microsoft Office
   programs such as Word & Excel and ability to use a fax machine.
