Job description

Position Summary 

The OEM Account Manager will serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned OEM customers, managing strategic relationships and driving growth across existing and emerging opportunities. This role partners closely with OEM engineering, sourcing, operations, and product teams, as well as internal stakeholders, to support customer satisfaction, expand adoption of Sy-Klone solutions, and ensure successful execution of customer programs throughout the product lifecycle. The OEM Account Manager will balance relationship management, business development, and cross-functional coordination to strengthen long-term partnerships and support the Company's growth objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership success within assigned OEM accounts.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across engineering, procurement, operations, aftermarket, and executive functions within OEM organizations.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities for Sy-Klone solutions across existing OEM platforms, product lines, and business units.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineering and Product Development teams to understand customer requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, qualification testing, and product validation activities in partnership with OEM customers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure customer requirements, project timelines, and deliverables are successfully achieved.
  • Manage customer contracts, pricing agreements, commercial terms, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor customer forecasts, industry trends, competitive activity, and market developments to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts, opportunities, and customer activity within CRM systems.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers and channel partners to support OEM dealer and aftermarket opportunities where applicable.
  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Support teams to ensure product quality, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Sy-Klone at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and other business development activities as needed.

Qualifications

The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job well:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience managing OEM accounts, strategic customer relationships, or business development activities within manufacturing, industrial, or technical industries.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and developing long-term customer relationships within complex OEM organizations.
  • Ability to understand technical products and applications and effectively communicate value to both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting customer qualification, testing, product development, or implementation activities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in account planning, forecasting, pricing, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience analyzing customer, market, and sales data to support decision-making and account growth strategies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer facilities, testing sites, and industry events.
  • Experience in high-growth or small company environments strongly preferred.
