Job description

Overview

The Nurse Apprentice Coordinator (NAC) works as a liaison between human resources, nursing directors, nursing apprentices, and the clinical nursing practice department. The NAC will help facilitate student mentor assignments and overall coordination of the nursing apprenticeship program providing education and training for nursing leaders and mentors. The NAC works closely with nursing leadership and key stakeholders regarding training and education of the nursing apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

Education required: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing

Education preferred: RN with BS in Nursing

License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multistate Nursing license required

Experience: Hospital RN experience in which leadership had been exhibited is required

Additional skills/abilities: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks as needed. Must be able to work independently with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to make presentations and conduct necessary training sessions. Must have working knowledge of Clinical Information Systems, computer, word processing applications, spreadsheet applications, and graphics applications. Strong knowledge of medical/surgical clinical nursing needed
