Job description

Network Support Engineer
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will directly interact with customers and other functional groups within A10 Networks to troubleshoot, identify and resolve product, configuration or network related issues. You will capture and document details and events in the CRM application throughout the solution discovery process. Also you will participate in bug verification process before a software patch code is released to the customers. You are the key resource to ensure customer satisfaction with A10's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and troubleshoot L4-L7 traffic issues involving SSL, HTTP, and other standard application layer protocols
  • Analyze performance related issues related to TCP retransmissions, session drops, and common HTTP errors
  • Work with customer network, application, and DevOps teams to resolve integration issues and identify configuration errors
  • Troubleshoot ACOS issues across hybrid and multi cloud deployments like AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP
  • Troubleshoot application layer security issues related to WAF, SSLi and perform traffic analysis to detect DDoS attacks
  • Use tools like tcpdump and wireshark to conduct packet level analysis to debug issues
  • Use traffic generation tools such as Ixia, Spirent or Apache JMeter for simulating network and application traffic during testing and troubleshooting scenarios
  • Reproduce customer issues in lab environments and verify software behavior
  • Contribute to KBs, FAQs, and troubleshooting playbooks by summarizing resolved issues or lessons learned
  • Participate in internal training sessions and actively develop skills in packet analysis and advanced troubleshooting practices

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant education and 3+ years of hands-on experience in network support, system administration, or a similar technical role
  • Networking certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIE, JNCIP)
  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, and SSL/TLS
  • Experience using packet capture tools like Wireshark or tcpdump
  • Exposure to load balancing or ADC platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, OCI or GCP
  • Familiarity or foundational experience with WAF, DDoS protection, or SSLi
