Job description

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Computer Software Support Analyst. The Computer Software Support Analyst is responsible for consulting with users regarding software, hardware, process and system requirements needed in designing, testing, and improving systems; deploying and maintaining the company’s personal computer environment along with troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware problems for computer users. Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years' computer software experience; Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Information Technology, preferred; Experience interfacing with computer users.

Requirements for the Computer Software Support Analyst position include:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Practical understandings of Network support/troubleshooting.
  • Practical understandings of Mobile application support/troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PC Software setup and configuration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Physical requirements must be met for the Computer Software Support Analyst job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear.
