Job description

Job Number: R0243769 Network Automation Engineer The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced automation engineer for the management of system infrastructure and applications. As an automation engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission‑forward change. You'll work with a cross‑functional team to develop and implement automation solutions, maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with development and operations teams to ensure the smooth deployment and management of infrastructure and applications. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevSecOps skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.

You Have
  • 3+ years of experience with scripting languages to automate tasks, including Bash, Python, JavaScript, Jinja2, or PowerShell
  • 2+ years of experience with automation tools including Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD toolsets including GitLab or Jenkins
  • Experience writing Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and automating network appliances such as Cisco, PaloAlto, or BigIP
  • Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
  • Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large‑scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure as well as applications in on‑premise and Cloud environments including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure
  • Knowledge of IPAM, NetBox, or ForwardNetworks
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have
  • Experience with automating system configurations and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines, scaling, releases, and day‑to‑day system operations in Cloud environments
  • Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
  • Knowledge of automation and process improvement through holistic programming solutions
  • Ability to analyze business requirements for the design of automated process workflows
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary range: $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The range is one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
