Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Network Tools Engineer and Automation Specialist to support and manage enterprise network platforms, with Tufin as a primary toolset for policy orchestration, compliance, and automation. The ideal candidate will also bring broad experience across multiple network and security management tools, enabling effective cross-platform integration, troubleshooting, and operational support in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary Ownership of Tufin Platform

    • Administer, maintain, and optimize Tufin SecureTrack / SecureChange environments
    • Develop and manage firewall policy automation workflows
    • Ensure compliance reporting, policy governance, and audit readiness
    • Integrate Tufin with enterprise systems (SIEM, CMDB, ticketing tools)
  • Multi-Tool Network Management

    • Support and manage a range of network and security tools, such as:
      • Firewall platforms (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet)
      • Network monitoring and analytics tools (StableNet / SevOne)
      • Configuration and compliance management systems
      • Automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, APIs, scripting)
    • Perform cross-platform troubleshooting and root cause analysis
    • Ensure tool interoperability and data consistency across systems
  • Operational Support & Optimization

    • Provide L2/L3 support for network security tools and platforms
    • Monitor system health, performance, and availability
    • Identify and implement improvements for operational efficiency
    • Participate in incident response and problem management
  • Automation & Integration

    • Develop and maintain automation workflows leveraging APIs and scripting
    • Support infrastructure-as-code and network automation initiatives
    • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable to network changes
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work closely with Network Engineering, Security, and DevOps teams
    • Support audits, compliance requirements, and security reviews
    • Document processes, procedures, and tool configurations
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Tufin (SecureTrack / SecureChange) as a core platform
  • Experience managing multiple network security tools and platforms in an enterprise environment
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Firewall policies and rule management
    • Network security architecture and segmentation
    • Routing and switching fundamentals
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, REST APIs)
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and integration patterns
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with multiple vendor firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, etc.)
  • Exposure to network and security monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds)
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI, SOX)
  • Experience working in a multi-tool, integrated network ecosystem
  • Certifications (e.g., CCNP, PCNSE, Tufin certifications)
Key Differentiator:

This role is not limited to a single tool-while Tufin is a primary platform, success in this position requires the ability to operate across a diverse network security toolset, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and operational excellence.

Salary:

$61,600.00 - $113,900.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
