About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across McKesson's enterprise infrastructure spanning cloud and onpremises environments. In this role, you will set the technical direction for infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and compliance with architectural standards. You will lead largescale projects, drive innovation in automation and reliability, and act as a key escalation point for complex issues. This role partners closely with senior engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, highperforming infrastructure solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability

  • Set technical direction for infrastructure initiatives and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices

  • Drive and oversee delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives

  • Own network capacity planning, including optimization of performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

  • Serve as escalation point for critical incidents and lead complex troubleshooting across infrastructure environments

  • Drive innovation through infrastructure automation, orchestration, and reliability engineering practices

  • Develop and enforce governance frameworks for SLAs, OLAs, and security/compliance requirements

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure capabilities

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including enterprise-scale system design and implementation

  • Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in hybrid or multi-cloud environments

  • Strong experience with network engineering concepts including BGP, routing protocols, and network design

  • Proven experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) for infrastructure deployment

  • Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)

  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects and serve as escalation point for complex issues

  • Experience working with enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder influence skills across cross-functional technical teams

  • Experience implementing DevOps and SRE practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency

$122,100 - $162,800
