Netris is the automation and multi-tenancy layer for AI cloud networking, enabling operators to launch GPU clouds in weeks, provision tenants instantly, and maximize GPU utilization. The company experienced 800% ARR growth in the last 12 months, with 35+ live GPU cluster deployments globally and growing, and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz. SDN reinvented data center networking, and Netris is doing it for the AI cloud with NAAM: Network Automation, Abstraction, and Multi-tenancy.

The role

This is a hands-on engineering role combining network engineering, validation, and network automation . The ideal candidate has strong data center networking knowledge and the ability to design and implement automated test frameworks that validate complex network features, configurations, protocols, and end-to-end traffic behavior.

The engineer will work closely with Network Validation, Engineering, Architecture, and Product teams to improve validation coverage, accelerate release qualification, and reduce manual testing.

What you’ll do
  • Designing and developing automated network validation tests.
  • Building reusable automation libraries and test frameworks.
  • Converting existing manual network validation scenarios into reliable automated tests.
  • Automating configuration, verification, and cleanup of test environments.
  • Validating control-plane and data-plane behavior.
  • Integrating automated validation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Investigating test failures and performing network-level troubleshooting.
  • Improving test coverage, reliability, execution time, and reporting.
  • Working with Network Validation Engineers to identify high-value automation opportunities.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure new networking features are testable from the design phase.
  • Contributing to release qualification and regression testing.
What we’re looking for
  • 6+ years of experience in networking, network automation, network validation, or a similar engineering role.
  • Strong experience developing network automation using Python, Terraform .
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated network validation and test suites.
  • Strong understanding of modern data center networking .
  • Experience validating network configurations, control-plane state, routing behavior, and data-plane traffic.
  • Experience interacting with network devices using APIs, CLI, and automation interfaces .
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting and scripting skills.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines .
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues and distinguish between product, configuration, infrastructure, and automation failures.
Preferred qualifications

The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of:

  • Python
  • Terraform
  • pytest or similar test automation frameworks
  • Linux, Bash/Shell scripting
  • Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Routing and switching fundamentals
  • BGP, EVPN, VXLAN
  • VRFs and network segmentation
  • IPv4 and IPv6
  • Data center leaf-spine architectures

Experience with network automation technologies such as gNMI, gRPC, NETCONF, RESTCONF, YANG, Ansible, or Nornir is a strong plus.

Experience with Batfish is a plus.
