Job Summary:
Casey's is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their IT Engineering team. This role will lead the design, evolution, and reliability of enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises, datacenter, and cloud environments, playing a critical role in shaping a large-scale, highly available network.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and evolution of enterprise network architecture across campus, data center, and cloud (Azure) environments using Cisco Meraki and Nexus platforms.
• Architect and optimize BGP routing strategies to ensure scalable, resilient connectivity across multi-site and hybrid cloud environments.
• Own and advance network automation and fabric management using NDFC, driving consistency, efficiency, and operational visibility.
• Design and implement secure, scalable Azure network solutions, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Application Gateway.
• Engineer and optimize hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, site-to-site VPN) to deliver highly available and performant integration between on-prem and cloud.
• Diagnose and resolve complex, cross-domain network issues, leading root cause analysis and driving long-term improvements.
• Establish and enforce network standards, documentation, and best practices to improve reliability and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, performance tuning, and adoption of modern networking practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• This position requires authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent years work experience.
• 5+ years designing and operating enterprise network environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki and Nexus platforms.
• Deep expertise in BGP and enterprise routing design.
• Experience with Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Solid foundation in TCP/IP, routing/switching, and network security.
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical environments at scale.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex, end-to-end issues.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate and influence across teams.
Preferred:
• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications.
• Azure AZ-700 or comparable cloud networking experience.
• Experience with SD-WAN, network automation (Terraform/Python), or infrastructure as code.
