Network Automation Engineer (OnPrem)

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

Moneris operates highly reliable, secure onpremises infrastructure that supports Canada's leading payment processing platforms. Automation is central to how we scale, standardize, and reduce operational risk.

As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer (OnPrem), you will be responsible for replacing repeatable manual infrastructure build and configuration work with standardized, automated delivery mechanisms across onprem systems and network domains. You will design, build, and evolve automation that enables infrastructure teams to deploy and change environments through controlled, versiondriven workflows.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Systems Infrastructure

Posting Type: Replacement Position

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $142,000 - $186,000.

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

  • Automate endtoend onprem infrastructure deployment and change workflows.

  • Replace manual infrastructure build and configuration processes with reusable automation.

  • Design standard automation patterns for network, system, and storage delivery.

  • Deliver infrastructure changes through automated, versioncontrolled execution paths.

  • Develop and evolve a phased automation roadmap to reduce manual execution over time.

  • Focus initial automation efforts on network platforms, including firewall and load balancer changes.

  • Build and maintain codedriven automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

  • Establish review, testing, approval, and changecontrol practices for infrastructure automation.

  • Partner with system administrators and operations engineers to validate and adopt automation.

  • Assess current automation maturity and continuously identify new opportunities for automation.
