The company works with superstar artists, major and independent record labels, and global media brands. It operates a number of companies including Label Engine, one of the largest independent music distribution platforms in the world, with over 75,000 artists and 5,000 label clients; and Flighthouse, a digital entertainment brand focused on Gen Z, which has more than 300 million followers across social media. Create Music Group is based in Hollywood, CA and has 400 employees worldwide.
Job Summary
This role will focus on research using social media, DSP's and A&R research tools to identify potential talent.
Responsibilities
  • Providing the A&R team with extensive Artist and song research and identifying opportunities such as independent artists and songs using both personal research and software.
  • Gathering YouTube data and creating analytics on potential signees.
  • Work within the sales funnel, assisting the tracking of artists leads from identification to signing
  • Work with A&R Team to assist in projects related to developing and maintaining relationships within the creative community, cultivating a strong network of artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, managers, studios, and other creatives
  • May assist A&R's in the gathering of song files & links for recent signings
  • Day-to-day tasks and administrative work as needed.

Qualifications
  • Must be based in Los Angeles.
  • Familiar with and passionate about music, culture, and content and enjoys discovering new music.
  • Motivated and driven towards a career in the music/entertainment industry.
  • Well-versed in internet culture/social media platforms and enjoys consuming/studying YouTube, Instagram and TikTok content.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to stay well organized and manage multiple tasks at once.

Program Details
  • Start Date: Flexible
  • Hybrid role: Must be able to attend in person in the LA office 2-3 times per week
  • Length: 3 - 4 months
  • Schedule: 10-20 hours per week (flexible to accommodate school commitments)
