Bilingual Case Manager (Move Coordinator) Location: White Plains, NY Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $24/hr - $27/hr Work Setting: Onsite

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate, community-minded professional who is passionate about helping individuals and families build stability through safe and affordable housing opportunities. This role is ideal for someone with experience in affordable housing, shelters, case management, social services, nonprofit organizations, behavioral health, or community outreach programs.

As a Bilingual Case Manager (Move Coordinator), you will work closely with families participating in housing assistance programs, as well as landlords and property owners within the affordable housing community. You will help support successful housing placements, promote long-term tenancy stability, and connect residents with valuable community resources and support services.

Bilingual Case Manager (Move Coordinator) Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive working relationships with families, landlords, property managers, and community partners to support stable housing outcomes (training provided)
  • Guide participants through housing mobility and affordable housing programs, explaining eligibility requirements, available resources, and next steps (training provided)
  • Assist individuals and families with apartment searches, housing applications, and transition planning
  • Support residents in developing personalized action plans focused on stability, self-sufficiency, and community integration (training provided)
  • Conduct ongoing follow-up with participants through phone calls, meetings, and occasional home visits to provide encouragement and assess progress
  • Connect families with community resources such as employment support, childcare, education, transportation, healthcare, counseling, and financial assistance programs (training provided)
  • Collaborate closely with landlords, housing specialists, inspectors, and case management teams to help resolve tenancy concerns and promote positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and program records in internal databases and SharePoint systems
  • Assist with recertifications, program updates, rent adjustments, and other housing program administrative processes
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute updates regarding participant progress, challenges, and success stories
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and empathy
  • Provide additional program support and outreach assistance as needed

Bilingual Case Manager (Move Coordinator) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, human services, education, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent professional experience in social services, affordable housing, shelters, case management, behavioral health, workforce development, or community outreach will also be considered
  • Experience working with underserved populations, housing programs, Section 8/HCV participants, landlords, or nonprofit/community organizations strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations
  • Compassionate, patient, organized, and solutions-oriented approach
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management/database systems
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while supporting vulnerable populations
