We are hiring Network Engineer - ONSITE for a Contract To Hire position in Hershey, PA
Position: Network Engineer
About the IT Position:
This will be an on-site contract position for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of becoming full-time.
The Milton Hershey School is currently undertaking a project to migrate its network from Extreme Networks to HP Aruba. We are looking for a network engineer to help with the rollout of the new network and to support day-to-day operations during this period.
HP Aruba Networking
Extreme is a nice to have but not required
Network Access Control (NAC) experience strongly preferred
Strong Aruba / HP networking experience (switching + wireless)
Experience supporting enterprise campus/data center network environments
Hands-on experience with network implementations and migrations
Strong routing/switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, TCP/IP, SD-WAN, 802.1x)
Experience configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, wireless, and firewalls
Nice to haves:
Extreme Networks experience
Aruba Central experience
Aruba ClearPass / NAC experience
Palo Alto firewall experience
Infoblox DNS experience
Enterprise wireless deployment experience
Experience supporting large campus environments with fiber infrastructure
Experience in higher education, K-12, or similar environments
Exposure to Mitel phone systems

Experience
5 years of experience in a related role with expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level (Data Center/Campus) network infrastructure required.
General Experience managing and completing IT-related projects in a mid-to-large-scale network environment required.
General Experience and proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, VxLAN, BGP,
OSPF, VLANs, IEEE 802.1x, SD-WAN, multicast, Wi-Fi protocols Required
General Experience and proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices,
including routers, switches, and firewalls.
General Experience with the ability to troubleshoot and support a wide range of
infrastructure technologies, including Aruba & Extreme Switching, Palo Alto Firewalls, Extreme
and Aruba Wireless, Infoblox DNS, Mitel Phone System.
General Experience and strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
General Experience with strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to
effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
HP Aruba is a MUST
Please note EXTREME experience is a PLUS.
Estimated Pay Range: 125-145K
