What is a medical spa assistant?

Medical Spa Assistants are professionals who support the daily operations of a medical spa by assisting licensed practitioners, preparing treatment rooms, scheduling appointments, and providing customer service to clients. They may help with non-invasive procedures, maintain cleanliness, and ensure that clients have a comfortable and safe experience. Medical Spa Assistants typically work under the supervision of medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, or licensed aestheticians.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a medical spa assistant?

Job description

LivingWell Med Spa – Webster Groves, MO

LivingWell Med Spa is looking for a professional, friendly, and dependable Licensed Massage Therapist / Med Spa Assistant to join our small, locally owned boutique med spa; where you'll be part of a close-knit team -- not just another employee.

This is a versatile position for someone who enjoys providing massage services while also being comfortable assisting with the day-to-day needs of a busy med spa. When massage appointments are not scheduled, the employee will assist with answering phones, scheduling, client check-in/checkout, general office duties, maintaining treatment areas and supporting daily med spa operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional therapeutic and relaxation massage services
  • Prepare and maintain massage and treatment rooms
  • Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
  • Greet clients and provide excellent customer service
  • Assist with client check-in and check-out
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, professional spa environment
  • Assist with general front-desk and office responsibilities
  • Support other med spa services and daily operations as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Current Missouri Massage Therapy license
  • Professional, polished, and well-groomed appearance is a must
  • Friendly and comfortable communicating with clients
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable answering phones and working with scheduling/software systems
  • Willing to help in different areas of the spa rather than performing massage services exclusively
  • Able to maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA and workplace privacy requirements
  • Works well independently and as part of a small team
  • Motivated to build their clientele, bring in new clients, and encourage repeat business.

Why Work With Us?

LivingWell Med Spa is a small, locally owned boutique med spa serving in Webster Groves and the surrounding St. Louis community. We offer a welcoming, personal environment with a variety of wellness and aesthetic services.

Company Description

LivingWell Med Spa provides personalized wellness and aesthetic services in a welcoming, professional environment. Our goal is to help our clients look and feel their best while providing the personal attention you don't always find at larger, corporate med spas.
