Carlton Fields is seeking a File Clerk for its Tampa office.
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a file clerk. Experience in the legal industry is preferred.
Qualified candidates must be proactive and flexible, have excellent organizational skills and communicate well, both in writing and orally, and provide strong customer service skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as electronic document management systems is a plus. The ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on business needs is essential.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with maintaining and updating clients' files and records on a daily basis
  • Electronic filing of legal documents within the firm's document management system
  • Monitoring and uploading federal and state notices and filings as needed
  • Responsible for opening files for new client matters
  • Scanning client files/ records into the firm's document management system
  • Assist with closing out client files and records, following the firm's closing procedures
  • Back-up other File Clerks when needed
