CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Everett, WA
An Orthopedic Clinic in Everett is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team.
Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care and act as a dedicated patient care coordinator.
  • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical supplies.
  • Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and document chief complaints.
  • Assist providers with clinic procedures and positioning patients.
  • Manage laboratory specimens and report test results to patients.
  • Handle phone triage, post-op calls, and electronic record charting.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing and maintain communication with referring physicians.

Schedule/Shift:
  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Variable)

Pay: $22.19 - $42.72 an hour (Dependant on experience)
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.

Additional Skills:
  • Orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including compassion, empathy, and patience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.

Contract Length : 1040 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.
Benefits: Paid Sick Time Offered (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances; WA - 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked) Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix Offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).) 401k (eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1) Short Term Disability Insurance Term Life Insurance Plan
