Experienced Medical Assistant - Telephone Triage (5+ Years REQUIRED)

M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | No Weekends

This position is NOT an entry-level Medical Assistant role.

A minimum of FIVE (5) YEARS of recent, hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office is REQUIRED. Externships, internships, clinical rotations, and less than five years of experience do not meet the minimum qualifications.
Snelling Staffing is recruiting for an Experienced Medical Assistant with a strong background in Telephone Triage for a busy, well-established specialty practice in Mobile, Alabama. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, applicants MUST have:
  • At least 5 years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office
  • Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Telephone triage experience
  • EMR/EHR experience
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient service skills

Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform telephone triage and communicate patient concerns to providers
  • Assess symptoms and determine appropriate scheduling or follow-up
  • Document patient interactions accurately in the EMR
  • Assist providers with clinical patient care and documentation
  • Deliver compassionate, professional service while managing a high volume of patient calls
