Job description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Rialto, CA! This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Seven -month contract, with opportunity for extension or full-time offer

Schedule: Monday โ€“ Friday, 8:00AM โ€“ 5:00PM

Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 an hour

Specialty: Primary Care

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

ยท Patient Intake & Preparation:

ยท Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.

ยท Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).

ยท Document patient history and chief complaints in the EHR.

ยท Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.

ยท Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed.

ยท Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests.

ยท Prepare and sterilize instruments and exam rooms.

ยท Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

ยท Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries.

ยท Update and maintain patient records.

ยท Handle insurance verification and billing support.

ยท Coordination & Communication:

ยท Relay test results and physician instructions to patients.

ยท Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.

ยท Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

ยท High School Diploma or GED

ยท Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.

ยท Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required

ยท Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

ยท 1+ years of experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting.

ยท Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably Epic or similar.
