RN - Operating Room (OR)

Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours. Start Date: 08/25/2026, End Date: 11/24/2026, Duration: 13 weeks.

Location: 1798 N. Garey Avenue, Pomona, CA 91767

Job Description: OR RN Circulator for OPP (adjacent to the Main Hospital). No weekends, no call, no holidays. Surgical scrubs will be provided in the OR. Minimum ADN, ACLS, BLS & PALS. Minimum 1-2 years in outpatient surgery settings and in the operating room as an RN Circulator. Knowledge of Cerner for charting, quick learner, customer focused & willing to assist everyone in any manner for the purpose of patient care.

Major functions include: Primary RN in the operating room, providing patient care, and assisting the surgical tech, surgeon & anesthesiologist. Preparing the room for surgery, verify all critical elements are present to perform safe surgery. Assisting the anesthesiologist with intubation/extubation, and during nerve blocks. Ensuring patient is safe during surgery following policy/procedure with surgical counts, implants, time-out, specimens etc. Documenting everything accurately and efficiently in Cerner. Communicate with members of the team in a professional manner. Be knowledgeable of using the chain of command as necessary to escalate a difficult situation.

Facility Expectations: Facility maintains a strict dress code. Candidates must comply with the following: No facial hair. No acrylic nails. No unnatural hair colors. All tattoos must be covered. No visible body piercings other than earrings. No facial or nose rings. Earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings.

Modules are completed during orientation and are factored into NBO. Average module time is 3-6 hours, though requirements vary by specialty. Module time is non-billable. Module completion is tracked on the facility report.
