Job description

Kinetik employees have decades of experience in West Texas and provide all the important services our customers need to deliver gas and crude oil production to market, which include gathering, transportation, compression, processing and produced water management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Measurement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing field measurement operations to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant measurement of natural gas and liquids. This role provides leadership to measurement technicians and contractors, supports measurement data integrity for commercial and accounting, ensures adherence to company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. The Measurement Supervisor works closely with Operations, Measurement Analysts, Accounting and Commercial teams to maintain accurate system balances and resolve measurement discrepancies. Specific duties include:
  • Planning, assigning, and supervising Measurement Technician and Contractor daily work and schedules.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and performance feedback to ensure safe, compliant and efficient measurement operations.
  • Monitor and control operating expenses, review and approve time sheets, time-off requests, overtime and ensure proper coverage during holidays and when employees are out on PTO.
  • Supervising Measurement Technicians and Contractors, including but not limited to equipment installation, operation, and maintenance, to provide accurate data to the Measurement Data System. (MDS)
  • Monitoring SCADA and MDS systems to identify, diagnose and address potential equipment or data issues.
  • Oversee installation, operation, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work on (EFMs), primary measurement devices, gas chromatographs, continuous samplers and related equipment.
  • Ensuring completion of and reviewing required calibration tests and gas/liquid samples each month in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring system balances and advise other Operations groups as required, to resolve issues to maintain control of this key business parameter.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with a broad range of customers, Measurement Analysts, Producer Customers and Management, both internal and external to the Company.
  • Participating in operational review of measurement policy, procedures, equipment and facility design to ensure accuracy, reliability and compliance with industry standards (e.g. API, GPA, AGA, and state/federal regulations.)
  • Escalate significant risks, non-compliance issues, or operational concerns to management as appropriate.
  • Promoting and enforcing a safe working environment including adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry practices relating to the Measurement Process.
  • Operating Company-owned vehicle in safe and responsible manner in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in natural gas related industry. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Broad knowledge, technical expertise and work experience relating to this position.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel, as well as specialized software to interface with Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs), Gas Chromatographs and other related equipment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field setting with minimal direct supervision.
  • General knowledge of industry codes, regulations, company policies and practices.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Conscientious individual who strives for excellence and continuously seeks improvement in systems and procedures, dedicated to the profitability of the Company within stringent legal and ethical standards.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally
  • Able to work extended hours as needed or available for calls after regular working hours
  • May have to work outside in all conditions periodically and withstand extreme or adverse weather conditions
  • Able to work in close quarters: i.e., working while keeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing
  • Regular and reliable attendance
