Job description

Thermal Specialties is seeking a motivated Quality Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives within our Heat Treat Division.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining quality systems, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.


This position offers significant opportunity for growth within the division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate quality assurance program.
  • Maintain and oversee compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address customer and internal quality issues.
  • Manage daily quality functions including Pyrometry, Surface hardness and Microhardness testing.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, auditors, suppliers, and internal team members

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing or quality experience may be considered.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, quality management, metallurgy, or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement practices.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and CQI-9 is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence positive change.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing and industrial environment with exposure to heat, noise, and varying temperatures.
