This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Supervisor I, Production Management, is primarily responsible for leading team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes. You will manage production activities, liaise with departments for scheduling, and drive continuous improvement at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX. Specifics Include:
  • Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes
    Manage production activities, including assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources
    Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions.
  • Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement
    Assure a safe work environment and develop pipeline talent.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management, driving talent development, ensuring positive associate relations, enhancing engagement, recognizing achievements, and driving a strong safety culture.
  • Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members, directly impacting daily operations and team efficiency.
  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
  • Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of relevant experience
  • 1 Year of demonstrated leadership
  • Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and every other Thursday 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST
  • Location: Onsite
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
  • Relocation Assistance: None
  • Sponsorship Available: No
